The Gauge:
5 sts/in and 6 rows/in in garter stitch on #8
The Knitting:
Starting at the tip of the shawl, cast on 3 stitches. Work in garter stitch (knit every row) increasing one
stitch at the beginning of each row (any method of increase you choose). For scarf, knit until about
5 yards remain (10 yds for shawl). Bind off with size 9 needle.
